It's been a while

Hey there, friends.  Probably no one checks this blog anymore, because it's been a year and a half since I've blogged.  Where have I been? At work and at sea.  I'd like to make a comeback, not that there was any fanfare before or that I desire any now, but rather I'd like to start thinking again. Again, not that I stopped thinking, but... it's been a while.

How about we start with some questions.  Blogging should be interactive and provocative, in my opinion, because technology allows us to post comments at the end.  This is key.  

What is God's love like? This is a topic on which I'm sure it's worthwhile to meditate.  Discussion is warranted.  Please share your experiences.  I don't mean to open up the floor for an emotional gushfest but rather to elicit descriptions of experiences and insights that will build us all up.  Is it possible to love without reference to God's love?  If not, then what is it that so many people feel?  And what is love?  I'm not trying to draw out people's vain, independent thought, but rather what comes from an extended dwelling on the Word of God.
